winter and draughts

Well the cold winter weather is certainly upon us. Now is a good time to work out where all the drafts are coming from and to fix them. To work out where the drafts are coming from light a candle and take to all doors and window. When the candle flickers this will tell you where the draughts are. There are many great draught stopping products from the door snake to weather strips. Limestone Coast Maintenance can help with all these products.

Gutters

Gutters!! Not very often thought about unless they are overflowing! But like all parts of your home a little maintenance goes a long way.
  • Cleaning gutters should occur at least twice a year. At the beginning of winter and early to mid spring is ideal. More often if you have trees overhanging your house or in high risk bushfire area
  • cleaning gutters regularly helps prevent rusting and overflowing gutters that cause many dollars of damage!

So you are probably wondering how much to get my gutters cleaned out. Well for an average 3 bedroom home with gutters the cost is approx $50 (current May/June 2010)

for those with meters mills it appears that we are no longer able to source parts. This is due to the fact they are no longer being manufacutered. We recomnd when the time comes and you need to replace the head to put a varcoe head which we can supply and install.
